RotS question on "communing"

Very near the end of RotS, Yoda says to Obi-Wan that he will teach O-W
how to commune with his former master and old friend, Qui-Gon. In eps
IV, V, and VI, O-W is able to talk and show himself to Luke, and I
assume that Qui-Gon was to do the same with O-W after RotS. But Luke
never needed to "learn" to communicate with the dead Obi-Wan.

So what exactly is Yoda telling O-W in that last part of the Revenge of
the Sith?
