Yes, indeed, it's a dark world without Dave, but I am looking forward
to Superbowl Sunday. I look forward to the commercials. Of course,
I'll buy everything advertised if I like the commercial and it doesn't
objectify women or men to sell a product. Or use someone like Michael
Vick to sell dog food, etc. That would be a definite turn-off. I think
they pack 6 or 7 commercials now into every minute. A 30-second spot
must cost a fortune. Keeping track of all the commercials is
exhausting, if you're doing a survey, as I did for N.O.W. for their
annual report for several years. They have specific criteria they look
for, like the inclusion of minority groups, the image of women
portrayed, etc.
Enjoy the game and notice the incredible number of commercials. It's
mind-blowing.
