right temple? The one that didn't bleed much?

Fear not: someone came out and treated it during the first break.

When the show came back from commercial the blood was no longer as
visible, and you could tell that something had been sprayed (sponged?)
around the area as it now reflected the stage lights in a way that it
had not done before.

It wasn't an injury up there in a class with the time Buck Henry was
hit by Belushi's sword during a Saturday Night LIve Samurai skit, and
Bill acted oblivious to his injury -as did Buck Henry.

"The show must go on" isn't just a cliche'.
