The astronaut Mike Massimo was terrific. More guests like that, please.

I enjoyed Regis as always, and if he is truly that squeamish about
seafood, I can't believe he actually ate those clams or oysters or
whatever the hell they were (I could hardly look). Seafood is one of the
categories of food that NOBODY, not even Dave himself, could get me to
eat. The very smell of it makes me feel ill. So either Regis does not
have as strong an aversion as I do, or he is an extremely good sport.
I'm always happy to meet other grown adults with food aversions, BTW; it
makes me feel like I'm not such a freak.

(I saw a program on PBS about food preferences a while ago that also
made me feel a lot better. There are sound evolutionary reasons why some
people are like this. Neil DeGrasse Tyson asked one of the scientists on
the show, with regard to picky eaters "So it's not a moral failing?" and
the response was absolutely not. I am so vindicated.)

I don't know if you're referring to all seafood or just shellfish, but
I am that way about shellfish. In fact, some years ago when I was out
at a restaurant, although I ordered a pasta dish, the server
mistakenly brought over and placed before me a whole lobster. I
literally screamed, and vaulted out of my chair. The server was like,
"WTF? She's scared of her dinner?" I just don't see how anyone can
eat something that looks like some creature from the blue lagoon.

Anyhow, you are not alone in that.
