Julia Roberts teased David Letterman about his recent marriage on his
show that airs tonight.

A pessimist sees the glass as half empty.
An optometrist asks whether you see the glass
more full like this?...or like this?
I'm finding discussions about this story painful and am looking
forward to my cholersterol-checking blood test in a couple days for
comic relief. Julia was prying. As I said, I'm tired of hearing about
this. Hope my numbers are down so I don't need a statin drug. Now
THAT's something I would feel good about. Haven't eaten hardly any
sweets and only GOOD kinds of fats. Lost about 8 lbs., too.
Just subtly changing the subject.
All objections should be referred to my lawyer, the late Louis Nizer.

I bet Julia's been given the Ed Sully attic bedroom tour by Dave. She
seemed even then to know that he was up to hyjinx behind the back of
his poor, "tolerant" wife. She almost seemed to be laughing at the
situation. Remember, this was months before all hell broke loose. ps.
it must gnaw on Dave that he finally caves and marries again, and
within 8 months his sleazy cover is blown and now he's in the
matrimonial doghouse and the whole world knows about his cad behavior.
even his fans know and can't really deny in their hearts that Dave let
everybody down including the cooze stephanie who was let hanging out
to dry when it came to CYA time for Dave. Can't wait for that next
Roberts appearance; wonder if she'll mention Dave's exposed rutting
habits.
