Let me ask you all a question. Do you have exciting and/or unusual plans for the weekend?
Classes started a week ago, so I mostly have a lot of work to do, but I'm going hiking on Monday, which I have off for Labor Day. We're doing the next chunk of the Long Trail from where we left off the last time, and will have a couple of extra people (and two dogs) with us. One of my friends is picking me up at 5:20 a.m., which means I'll have to get up at like 4:30. It will be a 10.2 mile hike with a lot of climbing. It will be a long day, which means carrying a heavy pack with lots of food and water. (I stocked up on hiking food when I went out for groceries this afternoon.) Today was gorgeous, tomorrow should be more of the same, and the forecast for Monday includes a "rising threat of a shower" -- figures. We don't let rain stop us, though.
