I thoroughly enjoyed the Rivers' roast, so much so that I watched it
twice. I thought Gilbert Gottfried, in particular, was hilarious.
Gilbert was in rare form, it's true...Joan's daughter and Robin Quivers had good
material too, even if it was abundantly clear that they were reading it off the
cards...and I confess a special fondness for poor Tom Arnold, who has made
clumsiness and ineptitude his personal schtick....
The saddest thing, though, had to be Carl Reiner...the older he gets, the more
he's turning into the Yoko Ono of standup....r
