The point of the pre-show is just for the audience. Its also often
explained later in the show.



One thing I dont like is the most recent thing of showing the made up
shot of the Statue of Liberty as part of the monologue.


I hate to say it, but cutting to a video clip or a still photo
during the monologue is something that Jay Leno used to do very often.
Dave never did it until recently...
