The rash is much worse now. Weeping
blisters, very fugly. I bought benadryl cream from the Rite Aid in the
Pittsburgh airport as soon as I returned from New York. I may have to
see a doctor. I may wait till the rash passes before I sport my new tie.


Best treatment for Poison Ivy is Jewelweed. Usually grows in the same
areas as Poison Ivy and if rubbed on immediately after exposure will
neutralize the urushiol from Poison Ivy and prevent a rash. But it will
also work on a rash already developed. The fresh plant works better than
an extract, but if you can't find any in your yard you can buy a
commercial prep here:
