Wed. 5/6 Big Show Synopsis

Hey, how's it goin'? Here we go ...

*DESK CHAT HIGHLIGHTS*
Desk chat highlights included:

- An in-studio appearance from Dave's son Harry. He was up on the balcony, atop the spiral staircase. As he was leaving, Harry waved goodbye to the studio audience.

- Andy Kindler interviewing experts on climate change. Pretty good.

A little later, Dave spent a couple of minutes chatting with Stanley Cronkite from the CBS Store. Why was Stanley wearing a sombrero? After all, Cinco de Mayo was *Tuesday*. Stanley says they were having a big sale: buy one item at regular price, get a second (identical) item for one dollar off. Nice. Before going to the break, Stanley favored us with a song.

*BRUCE WILLIS*
A very strong appearance from Bruce. Was he even promoting anything? I guess not.

*BEN HARPER AND RELENTLESS 7*
The laptop guitar solo kicked ass. The album is "White Lies for Dark Times."

*MISCELLANEOUS MEANDERING*
What's happenin', people? I was just watching a large spider build its web near a light under the carport. I used to not like being near spiders. I guess you could say I was kind of *creeped out* by spiders, especially big ones. Now I'm not really bothered by them. Watching that spider build its web was actually quite inspiring. There for a couple of moments, I was quite mesmerized by the intricate beauty of its work.

Leave me alone. Let me be mesmerized.
