Dave was right when he looked at the audience during show #1 and asked
them, sarcastically, "I betcha can't wait for the home version." It
was awful. Not a Merv Griffin idea.

Thanks for posting it, though, Alan. I wouldn't have wanted to miss
seeing that show. Dave tried to save it...to keep the action going,
but came across as bossy instead. Oh, how I bet he wishes those tapes
could be erased.

Loved how, after reading the names of people selected in the audience, he
invites them to "come down and get your canned ham"....
