Hey, do you all *have* exciting and/or unusual plans for the weekend?

I'm picking my son up at Brooklyn Law School. After one semester and many
thousands of dollars, he decided... "I don't want to be a lawyer." I still
love him. (It was his money!)
Oh! And my baby got her driver's license yesterday.

Smart kid.  And really, much better to decide that now rather than
graduate, practice for a year, and THEN decide "Ick.  I hate this
lawyering stuff!"

Deena changed her major in her senior year, and is now dating a
lawyer.

I was in NY yesterday and strolled down to Lexington Ave. in front of
Bloomingdales where they unveiled their Christmas windows. did I
mention Tony Bennett was there singing to help kick off the holiday
shopping season? He sang 3 songs from his new "Swingin Christmas"
album. Then they counted down, flipped the magic switch, and the
entire front facade of the store lit up, then the windows. It was
pretty cool. I then strolled down to 53rd street on my way back to
the port authority and saw a mob of people waiting for the young
vampire actress to emerge from the Ed. She finally did and everyone
was going crazy - she posed for the professional photographers (look
for a pic in an upcoming Star Mag) and then stopped and signed
autographs for about 5 minutes. Then she left and the doors to the
theater opened to let the audience members leave.

I have decided that the reason Tony Bennett is in such fine shape
healthwise is because he is booked for gigs almost constantly. The
man is going to be in AC tonight and tomorrow, then Vegas, then New
York, and lots more before the end of December! Then, and this is
important - everywhere he goes people love him. Young, old,
everyone. There were hundreds of people waiting outside yesterday and
their reaction was mildly interested in the Bloomingdale's
spokesperson, the Infiniti spokesperson, the Frank Sinatra School of
Performing Arts singers (the school that Tony and his wife founded),
but then when Tony was introduced, that's when everyone went wild.

So, the secret to a long, healthy life is to be booked constantly and
when you get there, have hundreds of people love you. Oh,and floss
regularly.
