I spent yesterday in the hospital emergency and surgical waiting rooms for my mother. After reading the AV Club interview with Teri Garr, I got her autobiography out of the library and read the whole book while waiting. The book was nowhere as sharp as the interview.

As for my mother, my sister went to the hospital this morning and talked to the surgeon. He was a lot more upbeat about her condition this morning than he was at 11 o'clock last night.
