Here's something. Last night, I had a dream that I was a Bering Sea crab
fisherman. It's the second such dream I've had in recent weeks.

So, what are *you* all up to this weekend?

Let's see,
I weeded the front yard, about 3 months ago we pulled up the lawn in
the front and planted the area out with native plants. The wildlife
that has now return to the tiny little property is amazing, but there
are so many introduced weeds that it at this juncture (cool word) the
yard requires much maintanence. I am hoping that eventually the plants
will grow to shade them out naturally.

What kind of wildlife do you see on a regular basis?

Do you ever see bush rats (Rattus fuscipes)?


No I have never seen a bushrat. I have seen the rare quoll, pythons
and black snakes, fruit bats, the very rare black cockatoos and common
sulphar crested cockatoos, sea eagles, egrets, many different parrots,
kookaburras, lyrebirds, goannas, all up at our river house.

In the city, we are now getting much more bird life, cockatoos,
currawongs, minerbirds, and wattlebirds. They are also very
competitive territory wise.
