We all expect certain people to continue to be on the scene
for a long time. When they die before we expect them to, it
creates a void in The Global Village. When we see an upbeat
person, we expect someone like Tim Russert to live longer,
not die off-camera while at work. He was predominent during
the 30-day trauma of the election of 2000, remember. Hey, if
it were Martha Stewart who dropped dead suddently, it would
be just as sad, because we don't expect her to leave television or the celebrity scene yet. She seems so strong
and capable, right? I feel kind of betrayed when certain
people die too young.
If Dave had not had survived his massive heart attack in
2001, we would still be mourning him. Too young. I'll wait
till he is well over 80 to stop worrying. I live to worry.
Worrying is gonna kill me. :p
'I live to worry.'
I like that, Sally.
I think that's gonna be my new philosophy on life; it's gonna
be my new 'life theme,' if you will.
That sounds like a plan, Brady. Perhaps your theme song could
be 'Worrier King' by the late, great, Warren Zevon.
I've been up all night
Wondering what November's gonna bring
Worried about my country
And I worry about everything
And I worry when I see my subjects
Bow down to the Worrier King
That's been my 'life theme' intermittently for years now, BTW.
Greg
