And I'm assuming you ain't black.

*********************************
I find that totally irrelevant, Even though I'm sure you're going to find
a
large number of black people who found Wright offensive, even if they
don't
find him **as** offensive as I do. Barack ain't running for president of
Black America, is he? Not only that, but I reriously believe that the
constant "you're opressed, you're opressed, you're opressed," is a
negative
message. IMO, a better message for Barack and Michelle to be sending
would
be, "look what we CAN do in America."

Thanks for completely misinterpreting my sentence.

If you can't imagine any intelligent African American (or an
unintelligent one, for that matter) being a bit upset over the way
White America has treated his race for the past 300 years, we really
don't have anything to talk about

Thanks for completely misinterpreting my sentence. I can't see where I
implied anything close to what you have inferred. I will, however,
GUARANTEE you that there are plenty of intelligent African Americans out
there who find Wright offensive. Some will take that as a reason not to
vote for Obama, and some won't. That's why we should be grateful that we
live in America (GOD BLESS America!). Anyone has the right to go in to the
voting booth and vote for Obama, and anyone has the right to say "no way
in hell can I vote for Obama (or Hillary, or McCain)."
Just for the record, I've never been more disgusted. I can't even decide
who of the three is at the bottom of my list.

....and, by the way, no amount of guilt can change the past 300 years. I have
no doubt that, 100 years ago, a person of color couldn't be where Obama is
today. I am not, however, going to be more inclined to vote for him because
of it. I'm not going to be inclined to vote for anybody closely associated
with some who says "God damn America" from the pulpit.
Guilt can't change the past. We can only move forward.
