I like the Fun Facts.

I like Fun Facts, too, but I find them uneven in quality. If I held a
high position on the LSDL staff instead of my current Assistant Fan, I
wouldn't lock "Fun Facts" into a certain day, but would wait until I
had a good batch. (You'll notice that Dave rejects a certain number of
them on camera.)

I think it's a very good framework for comedy... sort of like the
little one-sentence observations that Steven Wright uses.

Here are some good ones:

Prior to the discovery of penicillin, laughter was the best medicine.
The favorite rock band of 61% of electricians: AC/DC.
For many years, Barack Obama was known as Barack Cougar Obamacamp.
Before performing each miracle, Jesus shouted "Shazamm!"
Before television became commonplace, Elvis shot his radio.
Box cutters are now sold to people who can prove they own a box.
People in China refer to Chinese food as food.
Your mama's so fat, when she hauls ass she has to make two trips.
Each year, some 4,000 Americans die installing weather vanes.

and my favorite:

Campbell's has removed the letter F from alphabet soup.

By the way, I just noticed that R H Draney, the filt guy, made the
same comment as I did on Steven Wright. I didn't copy his work.

My all time favorite Fun Fact was something like, "If you're High
Falutin', your falutin is above 8.5" <---or something like that.
