Tues. 3/18 Big Show Synopsis

Hey, how's it goin'? At least it's Hump Day. Here we go ...

*DESK CHAT HIGHLIGHTS*
Highlight # 1: Dave recounting his tick ordeal from Monday night. (Dave did Monday night's show with the *living head of a tick embedded deeply in his flesh*. Now it's just a waiting game to see whether he gets the deadly Lyme disease, or perhaps even the equally-deadly deer tick fever.)

Highlight # 2: 'What's in the Soup?' in Rupert's. The item in the piping-hot soup: a clock-radio. Gee, the contestant sure was testy after he put his hands in the soup. I'm sure it wasn't *that* hot. What a baby. Oh, well, there are no losers on 'What's in the Soup?' Except perhaps for Rupert, who's gonna get served himself. But not with soup! <<cough>> Because the contestant is going to sue him, you see. And Rupert will get served with the lawsuit. As opposed to being served, say, soup. You see what I'm saying? Fine. F'it.

There were a number of other things as well, including a TTL: 'Signs Your Monkey is Too Fat.'

*AL FRANKEN*
He's running for the US Senate in the state of Minnesota. I liked the campaign commercial. I was actually quite moved by the anecdote he told about the woman who contacted their former teacher. Yeah, that's right. I was moved.

*LAUREN CONRAD*
The thing I liked about this interview was the fact that it was so, well, *real*. Her 'reality' show is "The Hills." Did I ever tell you all about my lifelong dream to be known as a 'lovable gadfly from the San Fernando Valley?'

*THE CRIBS*
This performance was just annoying. The album is "Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever."

*MISCELLANEOUS MEANDERING*
What's happenin', people? At least it's Hump Day. It's also the third Wednesday of the month. Which, as you know, means one thing for me: tonight is my monthly 'Born-Again Virgins' support group & mixer. It's my turn to bring the Pop-Tarts.

Have a good Hump Day, everyone.

Later ...
