Ohhh, let's just say the 'Desk Chat Highlight of the Night' was ...
Dave's decaffeinated coffee rant.

God - he is so right.

Some other highlights:

  - We took a look at some 'Fun Facts.'

Audience was really slow on some of these.

  - We had an edition of 'Will it Float?' The item: a can of cake
frosting. The verdict: it floats. I played at home and won. I'll see you
all at the big 'Will it Float?' convention in Donz's apartment.

I kinda liked her. She's ... plucky. Is that the word I'm looking for?
Plucky? No, that sounds patronizing. Let's just say I kinda liked her
and leave it at that. She lends her voice to "Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a
Who." She's also in "My Name Is Earl."

I dozed off here and I've never watched My Name is Earl

Me neither. I thought Dave was really off and looked like he hardly
cared. It was funny when he was fumbling through FunFacts but the rest
of it was pretty bad.

I wonder if he and/or the staff/writers were too distracted from the
then-late-minute news about Spitzer. It was just breaking, but Dave
couldn't really talk about it too much, since (I figure) he knew it'd
be old news by Friday, and other events would have probably occured
since Monday's taping.

Still, they did manage to slip a reference about it into the Top Ten.- Hide quoted text -

True but wasnt there plenty of references on Monday's show? Assuming
Friday's was the second show taped on Monday.
