Like I said, this one's a big deal. And it's a harbinger for November.
AP has just declared Foster the winner.

This outcome also helps Obama in the eyes of the superdelegates. He
ran an ad in the district, supporting Foster (while McCain headed a
fundraiser for Oberweis). It suggests that Obama has coattails.

<<channeling the Clinton campaign>> 'It's about *electability*. Also,
Senator Clinton has shown she can win the *big states*.'

It was what I perceived as Obama's electability that helped me chose
between him and Hillary. A friend of mine told me right before the
Super Tuesday primaries that she had voted in advance for Obama. Then
she mentioned that it was the first time in her life (she's in her mid-
forties) that she had voted for a Democrat and also the first time she
had ever voted for an African-American. Also, a Catholic male friend
told me he would move to New Zealand if Hillary won and that if he
were to "lean left" he would vote for Barack. Their comments helped
convince me that Obama could win more crossover Republican votes and
was more electable than Hillary.
