I made a decision a few years ago to stop buying chips and junk food and eat peanuts as my primary snack food. I got used to eating them unsalted - it took a little time to break the salty habit - and that's how I prefer them now.

I prefer salted.

I don't *want* to get used to eating unsalted peanuts.

(Can too much salt be bad for you, really? I tend to use a lot of salt.)
