Microsoft is a horrible, horrible company. Their business practices are
deplorable. Apple, sadly, is almost as bad as Microsoft these days. 8
years now, and Steve Jobs hasn't made iTunes available for Linux. Jerk.
Safari, there's your problem. You've heard of Firefox, right? It's free.
The issue I have is with disappearing links. It is impossible to
follow them. Say there is a list of six story links. If I click on
one, suddenly there are five. One by one, they vaporize when clicked
on.
Firefox for Macintosh does the same thing, if I recall. I have Safari,
Firefox, Netscape, Internet Explorer and Opera. The point I was making
is the script for MSN's page is reading that I'm using a Macintosh,
and it's screwing with the user.

When the hell did the LS site switch over to flash from realplayer?
I've had pretty bad luck watching video on the "Late Show" site.
Sometimes I get nothing after clicking. Often I get an ad, then the
player just reports "Stopped." Actually, I did get a "Tony Mendez
Show" with Seabiscuit today. It was great to see it. Maybe something
has changed recently. I was trying to watch something on DaveTV a few
days ago with no success. I have a video card that will drive a 30"
display, and it runs Final Cut Pro without blinking, so my computer
shouldn't be the problem.
Real Player is evil. Streaming video is evil. If Walter and Jay have
changed to Flash, that's a great move from my point of view. Real
Player did not play nice with Macintosh, in its later versions,
anyway.
I have the videos on my site so you can download them. If you have
compatibility problems, at least you can save the file on your
computer. Then you can play around with it until something works, and
you can eliminate downloading as the issue.
The point I'm making is that these days, many Webmasters go to huge
lengths to keep users from saving their material or from figuring out
its actual filename. Because you can't download, you get problems with
stalling and buffering that wouldn't bother you if you weren't
watching and downloading at the same time. I know sites do it to keep
you coming back to view their ad placements, but it has its downside.

By the way, I gave up trying to watch Caliendo's stuff. It's hosted by
MSN, and there was no getting to it from the world of Macintosh.
