heh heh. I do beleive someone said "Sox in 4."
Congrats, but this will go down as one of the dullest Series in
recent
history -- Red Sox Nation aside.
We haven't seen a good Series since 2002 (2003 -might- be an
exception, though).
Oh, I don't agree. '04 was very good. '05 was the closest sweep I ever
saw
(two 1 run games, and two 2 run games). October baseball is always
good.
THe last four Series have totaled 17 games, of which the NL teams have
only
won 4...
I'll agree that there was an emotional sweep to '04 that would be hard
to match, but I don't know that it was especially good baseball; it
was more about the storyline (and especially after coming back against
the Yankees, well, the Series was bound to suffer). Similar with '05
-- good storyline, meh playing. But I thought '06 was very
unmemorable regardless; Detroit just played horribly.
I want another series like 2001 or 2002 -- not necessarily seven
games, but a good back and forth between two evenly-matched teams who
are really fighting one another. I didn't get that this year; with
only a couple of exceptions, the Rockies were just overmatched and had
cooled off too much.

Personally I think this team is more likable than the '04 edition.
Millar and Damon were such bores.
I liked Damon. Before he went to the dark side.
What I didnt like was A-Rod's agent stealing the spotlight by
announcing their opt-out decision right before the Sox were about to
win and then FOX playing it up.
I'm glad to hear so many reacted to this the same way I did. What a punk!!
