*DESK CHAT HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT*
I would have to say that the 'Desk Chat Highlight of the Night' was ...
Chris Elliott & Gerard Mulligan's latest 'project.' Even more so than
the clip itself, I enjoyed seeing Chris sitting there in the audience,
cigar in hand, laughing uproariously. I just get a kick out of watching
him interact with Dave. I always have.

The best part of Bionic Guy was the billboard shot of Chris. BIG laugh
from me. Really enjoyed it!
Very silly.

We also had a couple of clips, both of which were repeats from earlier
in the week. I can't figure out why they would show these again.

Lame.

*JENNIFER GARNER*
The film is "The Kingdom." It opens Friday.

Speaking of warmongering, I am really tired of seeing hyped up anti-
terrroism speeches produced for entertainment.
Please hollywood, terrorists are violent cults, nothing more, stop
presenting them to us as groups with real power.

*KEN BURNS*
I really enjoyed this interview. I identified with the visceral reaction
Dave said he had when watching "The War." A couple of nights ago, I
watched some of it -- I think it was the first night, actually -- and I
had the same type of gut-wrenching reaction. You hear the first-hand
accounts and you see the images, and you just think to yourself, 'Will
humanity ever *learn*?'

I hope the series makes its way downunder. Ken Burns was a really good
interview, and he brought a lot to the table.
I couldn't help thinking toupe or no toupe?

*CHAKA KHAN*
The new album is "Funk This."

I liked Chaka a lot, but I wanted more funk. More funk!!

*MISCELLANEOUS MEANDERING*
Remember that atrocious "You're Beautiful" song by James Blunt? There's
a line in that song that goes, "And I don't know what to do." Well,
earlier tonight I discovered that it's fun to come up with replacement
lyrics for that particular line. The only rule of this little game: the
new-alternative line must rhyme with the original. >

'And I wish it were not true.'
'And if not for me, then you.'
'Brady loves his Mountain Dew.'
'To much Dew will make him spew.'

That's all I got.

Yeah 3-day weekend!!
