Always great to see George Clooney. He must not have been *too* severely
injured in his recent motorcycle accident if he hasn't cancelled. Broken
ribs cannot be fun, though.

I'm pissed I missed his red carpet premiere at the Ziegfeld tonight. I
had to shoot a show in midtown and thought I might make it out in time.
No luck...dammit.

Too bad because both Clooney and his girlfriend showed up despite
their injuries. Here is an article from USAToday.com complete with a
picture of her on crutches:

Injuries and all: George Clooney and Sarah Larson arrive at Michael
Clayton premiere.

By Donna Freydkin, USA TODAY

NEW YORK - Not even a fractured rib and road rash could keep George
Clooney home.
The actor was injured after being knocked off his motorcycle Friday in
New Jersey; girlfriend Sarah Larson's foot was hurt. But Clooney still
came out to support his drama Michael Clayton at the film's premiere
Monday night at the Ziegfeld Theater.

He was the first star to arrive for the screening and walked the red
carpet with Larson, who was using crutches. Her right foot had on a
dressy black heel, and her left foot was bandaged. "It's starting to
hurt," she said before Clooney kissed her as she left him to go inside
the theater.

As for Clooney's injuries, he said: "I'm doing fine. I'm wrapped up,
Neosporin-ed to death. I've got a cracked rib. I'm not jogging right
now. No jumping jacks."

In the drama, which was well received at the Toronto Film Festival
this month, Clooney plays a fixer in a top corporate law firm who has
a crisis of conscience over his unsavory line of work. The film opens
in New York and Los Angeles on Oct. 5. When the suggestion was made
that Clooney's role was reminiscent of a Hollywood publicist, he said:
"I based this entire role on Stan." Clooney's longtime publicist, Stan
Rosenfeld, looked on and laughed.

Clooney and Ocean's Thirteen buddy Brad Pitt are shooting the Coen
brothers' drama Burn After Reading in Manhattan. Asked about how it
seemed he and Pitt coordinate everything, including projects, Clooney
replied: "We ask what we're wearing. He's wearing an all-white suit
tonight."

Well, the lines of communication seemed to have broken down. A little
later, Pitt arrived without partner Angelina Jolie. "Hi, how are you?"
said Pitt, who was wearing a black suit, as he rushed inside to hang
out with Clooney before the screening.<

Maybe...Neosporin? You think they would give him better drugs!
