Ok Einstein, what happens to the fetus when the umbilical is cut? He/she
becomes an independent human being, no longer dependent on the mother's
womb, right? Does that concept satisfy the use of the term
"independence" within the context of describing the final stage of the
birthing process? You are very deserving of the award if that concept is
beyond your level of understanding.
