I love Craig but I just thought (like Dave used to do when on TTS with

Relax, Dave likes you. You wouldn't be following him if he didn't. But
it's perfectly understandable nonetheless.
I had the completely opposite impression. In previous talk show appearances,
going back to being a guest on Tom Snyder's LLS, Craig worked hard to get laughs
and find favor with the host quickly. He'd have his funny stories ready to go
and it worked well. Last night it was much more conversational - he wasn't
telling stories. One possibility is that he's already given a good part of his
autobiography on his own show and another (and not exclusive to the first) is
that he is much more comfortable with the format and isn't under pressure to get
the crowd on his side. As a guest, though, he's not the one in control and his
energy and flow might not be the same as Dave's. That was probably the same
thing that happened with Dave when he was on TTS.
I can see your point. I've missed most of his guest appearances so I
don't have much to compare it too. And it was hardly painful to watch.
In fact, I enjoyed it. I just felt he just wasn't in his "zone" and
you gave good reasons for why this is true.
Also, I found it interesting that Craig got a tattoo in his father's
honor after his death, even though his father hated tattoos. I did the
same thing (step- that is) and he wouldn't have been so thrilled
Thank God I got one in a place where even I go for long periods
forgetting I have it (my back, to clear that up). Looking in the
mirror and seeing it on my forehead would've sucked.
Yeah, but think of all the advertising revenue you missed out on.
True. I'm sure Pepsi would've paid me a lot of money to put a Coca-
Cola logo on my forehead.
