Not surprisingly, I loathed Harwell. He was a bit too cornpone for
me. But then, I dislike most of the long-time announcers, including
Curt Gowdy (sorry, Bill), Harry Kalas, Phil Rizzuto, and Jack Buck. I
did like Bob Prince, Harry Caray, Jerry Coleman (highly entertaining
in his ineptitude), and Myron Cope (football, rather than baseball,
but still . . .). The worst of all was Lou Boudreau; the guy could
not put a coherent sentence together.

None of em can touch Vin Scully, though. Still amazing at 79.
