such an intrigal part of the show for the first 21 years that I think he
deserved more.

I humbly disagree. I thought Dave hit most of the right notes with his recollections of Calvert. And I think respect must be paid to NBC for allowing Dave and the gang to use those first two clips in the retrospective.
