I like Tim's theory more than Alan's. In fact, I revealed my theory years
ago... one that is opposite of Alan's. That is, if a guest is TALLER than
Dave, he won't step off the riser so he, himself, won't appear shorter.
Haven't noticed it lately, though.

Very few guests are TALLER than Dave...I believe that Dave "hides" the
fact of diminished height of so many of the guests by staying on a platform,
thus giving the illusion that he's only taller because he's on a platform
and must bend over to greet said guests.
We might just have to start a new topic, "OOOTP" (On Or Off The
Platform) with a designation of "OnTP" or "OffTP".
I'll include the new acronyms in the LSQG and you can keep track.
