Because, Bill, you're the one who initiates arguments with others,
"taking offense" at "attitudes" you've projected onto them. And when
the accused and his/her defenders find your presumptions ridiculous,

That's why.

As far as Kindler, Foxy has it right -- personal tastes are what they
are; personal. Who knows why one artist moves someone so deeply but
repels someone else as much. I say it's all Clinton's fault.
