It's TV! IF it was planned to look spontaneous, my point is, they planned

What?? That it's TV. Don, I read your posts here often, and I'll admit you
know more than most people on usenet, (I do recall, however, you telling me
that Craig Ferguson, on hos live show, gave the "final" score of Monday
Night Football, even after I told you I changed that channel and checked,
and the game was, as he said, still in progress) but I know TV, and while
I'm not assuming to say I'm 100% sure or right, I'm saying it COULD have
been planned. My main reason for thinking that is that it didn't appear to
put them in a time bind. The one thing that leaves me doubting is that they
had to wait for someone to operate the hose while Dave was standing in
range.






My question was "HOW ARE YOU 100% SURE IT WAS SPONTANEOUS?"


Because (1) every piece of certifiable evidence supports the fact that

walked outside. But he was out of view until he walked south, towards

Consider the logistical challenges suddenly faced by both security and
camera placement. Had it been planned beforehand, these challenges
would have been worked out and resolved beforehand.

Yes, you did. In every other circumstance when Dave has ventured
outside the Ed, he's been accompanied by security, either next to him
or dealing with crowd control. In last night's event, security was
nowhere to be seen until DeLace rushed from the stage door, where he
had been handling Dwayne Wade's entrance, to where the hand-held camera
eventually rested, near the corner of Broadway and 53rd.


Why he took a different route back inside the theater is irrelevant.
But note that DeLace finally showed up and covered his ass while Dave
returned inside. Also, that route led him most directly to the stage,
via the 53rd St. backstage entrance.



So? The same route would have been more direct going out. In fact, I
IMMEDIATELY wondered why he didn't take a more direct route.


It's certainly worth arguing about. Consider this -- the crowds were
forming on Broadway, near the marquee. There were no comparative crowds
on 53rd St. And DeLace was now there. It was a more controlled
environment to walk down 53rd and into the stage door entrance.



Still, if you want to believe that it was all planned, go ahead. You'd
just be incorrect.
