This is so sad. Here in Minnesota we got news of his
stroke yesterday, he was such a nice sweet guy and all
the local stations showed lots of clips of Kirby during
baseball games and outside of baseball.

Kirby was, and still is, much loved here in Minnesota;
maybe you remember the loud and heartful "KIRBY!
KIRBY! KIRBY1" shouts from the Minneapolis/St.
Paul crowd on that 5/9/97 show when he came out on
stage.

I keep hoping the local CBS station will show a clip of
Kirby on Dave's show but they haven't yet.
