That would be in contrast to what? The guy who IS president giving up
two whole days of his FIVE WEEK vacation 48 hours after the hurricane
hit? Was he reading to school children or something? If Kerry had been
elected, I'm sure he WOULD be down there helping out.

And gee, I thought the G.O.P. party line was that he wasn't really on
"vacation" because being in Crawford was just like being in Washington
DC. This administration really needs to keep better track of their B.S.

Let me get this straight, it was ok for the Secretary of Defense to
go on Letterman when his soldiers were getting needlessly killed in
Iraq? Rumsfeld didn't have a problem with that? But when a hurricane
hits the southeast, something that the department of defense has
nothing to do with (except for the fact that we have no national guard
left to help out because he shipped them all to Iraq),he cancels. Are
we sending troops to fight the hurricanes over here so we don't have to
fight them overseas?

I guess you wind up doing a show with the guests you have...
