I never watch the show live. I record it and wade through it later. Like one
of the posters above, I rarely spend much time on the first half.
I really would like to like the monologue, and have done so in the past, but
most of the time when I give it a chance, I just don't find it that funny. I
usually pause my FFing for the Top Ten List, and would give that about a 1
out of 2 score for being entertaining.
I skip through almost all of the bits, including Rupert G, Will It Float,
anything to do with Alan Kalter, and almost all of the audience
participation stuff. Just doesn't do it any more. For some strange reason,
though, I enjoy Biff's pieces. He makes me laugh.
As for last night, I'm not much of an Andy *** fan, but after seeing this
thread I watched the whole thing. I quite enjoyed the first half, where he
was playing hurt (or perhaps he was serious) and Dave was skewering him. I
thought his tearing up the pictures was funny. But when he actually started
to talk about his summer, the snakes and all, I quickly tuned out. To state
the obvious, Dave is much more interesting than Andy - I had no interest in
what the latter had to say. I found myself feeling a little sorry for his
kids.
