I have a Mitsubishi rear-projection hi-def box purchased in 1999. I saved
money, just like with cars, by buying the 1998 model while the new ones were
coming out.

The difference between HD and standard def is similar to looking out of your
car window after a car wash when your car has been particularly mucked up.
It's astounding. Not only is there more information on the screen, there's
also a 3-D effect that's quite noticeable.

It's only at matter of time now. Once the prices come down a little more, no
one will be able to resist. Apparently, Hollywood types are quite nervous,
because all their cosmetic work will be undone by the increased resolution.
Dave, of course, will continue to show us the top of his head.
