I've been practicing again for the first time in about 4 years. My
old band is getting back together for a "benefit gig". Get this,
one of the guitarists dogs got hit by a car and owes the animal
hospital 6 grand for the operations.

Rehearsal starts next week. While I still remember 95% of the set
list, I'm not sure I can get my chops up to play 40 songs. The
mind is willing, the body might not be....

I spent about 3K on my Lab when she was 5 and had cancer. Then, near the
end, probably another 3500 diagnosing what was wrong, keeping her
comfortable, and putting her down.

I'd do it all again.

I'm not so sure I'd spend that much on my kids. OTOH, I'm looking to
buy a new telescope...

For six large you can buy time on the Hubble.
