No, he responded truthfully. He is the CEOCFO whatever of an insurance company and it is very likely that he makes more than most of the people here. He stated it that way. He lives in Manhattan (as your investigation turned up) so he obviously spends some money for the roof over his head. My guess is that he makes more than most of the idiots who post here.
