Depending on where you live you can now get TIVO software on your generic DVR through Comcast. I know it's available in the Boston area today.

I'm on my third HD DVR that DTV "gave" me.

It SUCKS. The biggest POS imaginable. I works when it feels like, sometimes it will record HALF a show, sometimes nothing. No comparison to the series 2 TIVO I have on my other set.

Great product, great company, Great stock for daytrading but lousy buy and hold stock. Trades up on news, only to drift down the next day.
