LETTERMAN GIVES STERN INTERVIEW

November 22, 2007 -- DAVID Letterman has granted a rare interview to a
producer from "The Howard Stern Show" for an upcoming special about
the shock jock's life.

Part one of "The History of Howard Stern," a comprehensive audio
biography of Stern and his radio show, is slated to debut on Dec. 17
on one of Stern's two Sirius radio channels. It is expected to feature
interviews with a slew of Stern regulars and celebrity friends. Among
them is Letterman, who, outside of his own show, rarely grants
interviews.

Sirius officials declined to comment.

Stern usually turns up as a guest on Letterman's "Late Show" when he
has something to promote. It is understood that he had been slated to
appear on Letterman recently, but the appearance was canceled because
the show is dark due to the ongoing writers' strike.

Letterman, who has called into the Stern show on occasion, is
frequently parodied on the radio program by "Evil David Letterman," a
character who talks just like him but says dirty things.

Years ago, Letterman and his producers were unhappy with the parody
and would complain to Stern staffers, but over time they seem to have
come to accept it.

Letterman's last major interview was with Oprah Winfrey earlier this
year, but it occurred only after Winfrey had agreed to appear on "Late
Show."
