OLD vs NEW

I would be embarrassed and there would be no defending myself or the Stern
show today if a client or my employer came into my office and heard me
laughing at the show. [ that could never happen, because I don't listen,
BECAUSE it is not funny. ]

In the early days EVERYONE was laughing and EVERYONE was listening and it
wasn't an embarrassment to say you found it funny. My employer understood
if I sat in my car before coming into the office while I waited for Stern to
go to commercial break. I would walk into my office most mornings and the
first words out of my mouth were, "were you listening to the show??" You
didn't even need to say WHAT SHOW. You didn't need to explain why you
thought it was funny and anyone that would question it, wasn't worth your
time explaining.

The bottom of the ladder employees and interns were part of bits written by
REAL WRITERS. The show today has no writers. IT NEEDS WRITERS. Stern is
NOT funny on his own. Artie would be better with his mic off and tossing
pieces of paper at Stern for him to read. The show had bits written around
the employees, NOT BY THE EMPLOYEES. Grillo, Gay Rich etc etc. People
weren't shaving, licking, and shoving things on the show.

The show and Howard suck. I can't figure out why anyone listens. In the
past if something happened in the news and it was a weekend or vacation day
I was disappointed. I looked forward to hearing how they would cover it.
Do you people even care now? You must know that no matter what happens in
the news, there will not be any bit or discussion unless one of the idiots
like Sal mentions it. What was happening in the news was what made the show
great and I am not talking about Robin reading the news. Some examples:
Pope Visit, Million Man March, Oj Trail, that Crackhead Mayor. Or that
really fat guy that they had to remove a wall to get out of the house. The
Stern show was there.

More great shows. Sterns parents. Sterns in-laws, Married life. Jackie's
houses. There must be hundreds of hours on Gary's teeth alone!! What's in
Fred briefcase?? Another great show. Who is the craziest on the show??
Another great show. Is there ever a show now that compares. Where you sit
glued to your radio listening. I had radios in every room and a tape player
going just in case the phone rang. I can't for the life of me figure out
why people would pay for the show of today. Before they went to Siri they
talked about how funny it would be to have the gay show going on in the
building while they were on. That was forgotten and they became the gay
show.
