Um, you do realize that Arbitron comes up with a listeners per week
figure that is used to rank the hosts, right?

Yes. As I said in plain English, Arbitron's numbers reflect the number of
listeners tuned in at a particular time.

If a person filling out the survey diary indicates that he listened to a
radio show from 10AM to 11AM on Wednesday only, it will statistically
reflect 1/5 of a person in the ratings for that hour. If he indicates
that he listened each weekday from 10AM to 11AM, it will reflect
statistically as a full person.

The number of people who "tune in at any time during the week" is much
greater than the number of people who are tuned in at a particular time
during the week, which is what traditional ratings measure.
