Maybe this will help you to understand why saying "Sirius' subscription
rates will rise" over and over until eventually it happens is stupid,
and by extension, maybe it will help you understand why YOU are stupid.

Let's say I told you that XM rates were going to go up last Friday.

They didn't.

Then I said they'll go up next week.

They don't.

But, if I just keep saying they'll go up, I'll eventually be right.
This is because rates always go up (have you ever noticed this
phenomenon?).

If, somewhere down the road, XM rates DID rise, would you say "you were
right, Jack". ?

No, of course you wouldn't.

Now, in your case you'd be saying that simply because you can't admit
that someone you hate is right. But, unbeknownst to you, you'd
acutally be justified. So you can see in a general, caveman way that I
wouldn't really be "right", in any meaningful sense of the word
"right", and your intuition would be correct.

OK, you can go back to being semi-retarded now, Rick.

"Mel Karmazin, CEO of Sirius in the United States, said he believes there is
room to raise prices because consumers are willing to pay a premium for the
company's programming. "We certainly believe there is an opportunity for
Sirius to raise the price . . . and we continue to evaluate it," Mr.
Karmazin said on a conference call to discuss the company's fourth-quarter
results"
You're retarded, Jack
