That is assuming there is at least one funny show in that particular
market.

As for the original question of why be in this group: I don't really
obsess on Howard. I listen for a few minutes every other day in the
shower.

I think that the show is the ultimate reality show. What you have
before you is someone entangled in hypocricy and lies. This proponent
of having his whole life in the open never talked about the women he
dated between the divorce and meeting BethO, for example. It is
understandable that he wouldn't talk about the reasons for the divorce,
but stopping Booey from mentioning the name of a broad you banged?

This newsgroup is a great source of information that Stern does not like
to mention, and it is fascinating to hear him pontificate on various
matters while knowing the other side, or knowing other arguments for his
motives.

In the end, we witnessed a downfall of an icon we all followed every
morning. An icon that turned out to be an duplicitous and empty shell.
It is a study in human nature and many find such study fascinating, for
good reason.

Lastly, listening to Stern in the morning became a habit over the years.
Probably hard to break that habit, but I'm enjoying Curtis and Kuby more
and more; you can actually learn something! But we all listen to a few
minutes of the show now and then, and the quality of the show, and the
stuff that comes out of Howard's mouth is often down right insulting.
It is aggrevating. And I suppose this group is an outlet. It lets
people talk about that anger, and helps them realize they aren't crazy,
and that the show is, in fact, crap. And The Most Honest Man On Radio
(tm) maintained -- up until a month ago when it helped him promote
Serious on Letterman -- that the show was as funny as it ever was.

You may now, based on the length of my post, tell me how I am obsessed
with the show and am denying it.
