Brilliant work... prescient even! :)

It's hard to remember that far back just what life was life in the
'pre-technology age.

However I *do* remember my first exposure to television!! It was as a
small child in Wales back in 1953 watching the Coronation on a tiny
fuzzy screen in black and white and marveling at the scene! The sound
was dreadful and scratchy and we were all crowded around the box
trying to make out who was doing what to whom.

My father who is now nearly 90 entered the digital age with a bang
once we'd migrated. He now happily chats away on MSN using live voice
and video on a large wide screen in glorious living colour with
perfect clarity... and minimal lag!!

From our current perspective those ancient days are comparable to the
Stone Age. So what's on the horizon?? Holographic TV?? I'm waiting
with great interest. :)

Having said that... here we are using text on usenet... one of the
first implementations of the Internet! :)
