If you want to see "The film of the book" that was utterly destroyed
by Hollywood... try "The Forsyte Saga" which was so bad it makes me
cringe even suggesting you see how bad it was.

The BBC series was quite brilliant and pretty faithful to the books...
but you'd think you'd seen two different stories after watching both
TV series and film!

BRIDESHEAD REVISITED -- THE MOVIE. So horrible I had to watch in tiny
five minute installments before I finally gave up twenty minutes in.
The BBC miniseries was wonderful.

I was told the film was a travesty before I saw it luckily so never
had that experience! :)
