No. There is a law that says alcohol cannot be given to very very young
children, and obviously you cannot buy it or drink it in a pub until you
are 18 (or 16 if it is with a meal), but in private you can drink as
much as you like.
In the U.S., its illegal to BUY alcohol for anyone under 21. I assume the
same would be true in Britain for anyone under 18.
If you buy alcohol, and later serve it to your young son, wouldn't that
violate the laws against buying alcohol for minors (since you bought the
alcohol you provided to a minor)?
