Preparation for the quest.

Harry often said that DD was preparing him for his quest for the
Horcurxes and let him 'try his strength' etc...
.... yet in all this preparation I wonder why basic 'magical first aid'
wasn't one of the things he learned?
As Richard said... no bezoars despite Death Eaters around every corner
trying to finish him off.
Not only that but Hogwarts is a school filled with inexperienced
wizards trying all sorts of new skills... not to mention dealing with
'magical plants and creatures' so why wasn't basic first aid a part of
the curriculum?
Yes they had Madame Pomfrey... but she'd not be much use if the
injured person had bled to death (for example) by the time they got to
the hospital wing.
