OK, so I'm new here. I just read the books (one after the other) a few
months ago. I've since bought the first four DVD's too. Yeah, I now se
what the fuss is about. :)
One apparent
plot hole" does puxzzle me, though. It is shown where Snape's parents
fought a lot, and the father was intimidating the mother. Yet Snape's mom
was supposed to have been a witch, who married a muggle.
How on Earth does a muggle bully a witch?
Easily. Many men (far too many) abuse their wives, who not only take
it, but love them more for it, in hopes of currying favor. None of
them would ever use a gun or knife against dear old hubbykins. Magic
is another weapon not used. Sure, they know they should leave, have
friends and family willing to help them leave, but they won't leave
anymore than a happy marriage's fight would cause a wife to leave.
Also, not every witch or wizard believes in attacking muggles.
especially if there's no physical violence involved.
