So here we are at the MoM.

Here we are at the MoM. The guard is missing so a half dozen teenagers
meander about in the MoM investigating this, poking around in that
with nary a "Hello... and what are we doing here then?" from any
security.

Not only that... a dozen Death eaters drop by and with the aid of
those teenagers proceed to wreck room after room.

On or two then pile out into the atrium and continue the dance until
both Voldemort and Dumbledore who duke it out until Voldemort gets
bored and does a bunk with his lady friend just after the Minister and
a few witnesses finally emerge onto the scene.

How long did this take?? An hour or so maybe?? Must have been a while
because it took Harry a fair while to locate the room... and then
there was the time it took to find the prophecy and fight the good
fight etc.

And in all that time... no security. No inbuilt defenses to deter
intruders... zilch.

That being the case... if it was so easy to disable the security
systems (whatever they are) for such a long period... why on earth
didn't Voldemort himself walk straight to the prophecy pick it up and
walk out... might have taken him 5 minutes or so at most.

This idiotic argument that he didn't want to be seen was ludicrous
bearing in mind eventually he *was* seen... and that the fight went on
for all that time with nobody from the MoM being any the wiser!!

Alternate scenario. He arrives at the atrium... does whatever the
Death Eaters did to disable whatever systems there were... and saunter
off to the Hall of Prophecy. He picks up the prophecy... and
disappearances.

Why do the supervillains in stories have to *so* bloody stupid???
